Ten Unique & Personal Gift Ideas for Everyone on Your List

The season of giving is upon us, and it brings me great joy to be fully present and to focus my time and attention on the people I love. There is something so magical about searching for the perfect gift for each person on my list, carefully wrapping it, and watching pure delight spread on their face when they open it. Is giving a simple pleasure of yours, too?

If you’re anything like me, you probably also have a couple of people on your list who are difficult to purchase for. This year, I decided to make things easier by curating a beautiful collection of special, memorable items in our new shop

Inside the shop, you’ll find pieces that are equally unique, personal, and unexpected, and I’m confident you’ll find something to please even the trickiest of recipients. Today, I’m sharing a few of my favorite items to get us started…

1. For the Lifelong Local

Anything from the Boyertown Toile Collection is perfect for teachers, history buffs, and your best friend who never left home. Hand-drawn images depict noteworthy local historical architecture, celebrating home in a beautiful way. These drawings by local artist Julie Longacre are also featured on throw pillows, mugs, tumblers, and tote bags in this collection. Sure to please anyone with a fondness for beautiful Boyertown.  And added bonus: 10% of sales from the collection are donated to the Boyertown Historical Society.

2. For the Modern-Day June Cleaver

Is there anything better than de-stressing while simultaneously creating something beautiful? Our shop features several embroidery and cross-stitch kits (some more sarcastic than others-ha!) that are perfect for an embroidery beginner. These little cuties are what June Cleaver wishes she could have sewn, and they’re certain to make your crafty friend’s day.

3. For the Spouse with Frozen Feet

The colder months are coming, and this hot water bottle is a must on chilly, wintery nights. Your recipient will be able to stay cozy in style with these soft, beautifully patterned, padded hot water bottles. Snuggle under a blanket with this by your feet, pop some popcorn, and put on the latest episode of Outlander. Now that’s a perfect winter evening.

4. For Plant Parents & Art Lovers

Olivia Hurley’s pottery features organic shapes, patterns, and beautiful glazes. At just 21 years old, she makes each of her delightful pieces by hand in Boyertown. If you have someone on your gift list who loves plants and art, a vase or bowl from this collection will be the perfect meaningful, and useful, gift.

5. For the Collector of Unique Jewelry

If you wear earrings regularly, you’ve likely experienced the displeasure of returning home after a long day to find only one earring returned with you. Rachel McGee’s self-locking earrings have solved that unfortunate problem forever with a fool-proof system that also includes the most stunning genuine stones. Your recipient will thank you for never having to worry about a lost earring again, all while looking stylish.

6. For New Moms and Grandmoms

Built-in growth charts are adorable, but what happens if you move? Those sweet, precious memories and milestones will sadly be left behind. Your recipient will be glad that, instead, this tapestry growth chart can be rolled up and taken with them if they move. They’ll also have the freedom to repaint their trim whenever they want!

7. For Lovers of Botany

Anyone who loves a good throwback will enjoy these gorgeous, updated, retro botanical prints. Adorning pillows, candles, rugs, coasters, and more, the bold, beautiful blossoms (compliments of Rifle Paper Company products) are irresistible. If your recipient likes florals, this gift is sure to bring joy and delight.

8. For the Bookworm Who Loves a Surprise

A blind date with a book — how fun is this concept? If your recipient loves to read, he or she will be in for the best surprise with this gift. Each brown paper cover includes some broadly descriptive words, to help guide you in the direction of your recipient's favorite genre. Once you’ve chosen, your recipient is in for a surprise! What a fun, mysterious, and unique way to choose a book.

9. For Anyone Who Gets Thirsty

Everyone gets thirsty, especially at night. Save those bedside tables from a collection of water cups (do those ever get returned to the kitchen?) with this beautiful glass water carafe. With a cup that doubles as a cover for the carafe, your recipient can always be sure that the water inside is clear and free of any dust particles. It’s great for other rooms in the home, too.

10. For the Bread Lover

Carb-lovers unite! Pop the terracotta warming stone into the oven, then place it in the basket. Fill with your dinner bread to keep your bread and tortillas warm and fresh throughout the meal! The terracotta is naturally insulating, and the woven basket has been handwoven from sustainably grown seagrass. See the selections here.
